Deafgard is a battery-powered, wireless fire alarm alert device that enables deaf and hard of hearing people to be made aware when a fire alarm sounds while they are sleeping.
WHERE IT'S USED
Used in sleeping accommodation such as hotels, to support compliance with the Equality Act 2010's requirement for service providers to make reasonable adjustments for deaf and hard of hearing guests.
BUILD-UP
Wireless unit with a pillow pad attachment that vibrates, alongside high-intensity flashing LEDs and an LCD screen displaying 'fire', triggered when the unit detects a continuous fire alarm of 75dBA or higher.

No installation required; wireless technology; fail-to-safe dual battery supply; adjustable sensitivity; complies with the relevant parts of BS 5446-3; CE marked; also includes an alarm clock facility.
