Carboguard 890 GF is a glass-reinforced, chemically resistant epoxy coating with wide versatility across industrial markets, self-priming with excellent hardness, impact and abrasion resistance.
WHERE IT'S USED
Used in severe service marine applications above or below the waterline, and other industrial environments requiring chemical resistance.
BUILD-UP
Normally self-priming, may be applied over epoxy primers; a low-temperature version (890 LT GF) is also available.
KEY BENEFITS
Excellent chemical resistance. Surface-tolerant for less severe applications. Excellent abrasion resistance and hardness. VOC compliant to current AIM regulations. Optional non-skid fillers available.
SPECIFICATION DATA
Colours: black, white, grey, light grey, tile red, safety red, tan, safety yellow, ignition yellow (other colours on request). Finish: flat. Dry film thickness: 8-20 mils (203-508 microns) per coat. Solids content by volume: 77% +/-2%. Theoretical coverage: 154 sq ft/gal at 8 mils. Temperature resistance: continuous 400F (204C). Limitations: do not apply over acrylic or alkyd coatings; use only factory-made colours for splash zone or immersion service.
