Firebreak Batts are stone mineral wool boards coated on both faces with a flexible fire-resistant ablative coating, used to reinstate the fire resistance of separating walls and floors when penetrated by building services.
WHERE IT'S USED
Used for service penetration seals including bunched cables, large power cables, steel and copper pipes and fire dampers, including large openings in walls (1200mm wide x 1800mm high) and floors (1400 x 500mm).
BUILD-UP
Supplied in a standard 1200 x 600 x 50mm board size, easily cut with simple hand tools and quick to install using Firebreak 22 sealant; can be used with 100mm thick lightweight (plasterboard) partitions.
KEY BENEFITS
Independently tested to EN 1366-3:2009 for up to 2 hours' fire resistance; free of breathable fibres and halogens; non-combustible core; good acoustic performance; long service life once installed correctly.
SPECIFICATION DATA
Size: 1200 x 600 x 50mm. Classification to EN 13501, CE Mark (ETA 21/0214). Mechanical and durability testing to EAD 350454-00-1104. Third party certified with UL International (Certificate# UL-EU-01075-CPR).
